State Of The Class: A List Of Tennessee's 2012 Recruits - UPDATED

Mainly to get this all straight in my own head and for the benefit of others that follow recruiting, I thought I would run down who we have, who we might lose, and who we might gain when the faxes start rolling in on Wednesday. More to the point and to make you all jealous, who I might be hearing Dooley telling me about when I'm eating dinner at the signing day banquet in Knoxville. Ha!

So, without further adieu, here is the breakdown along with the ESPN.com link for each player. Also check out Brad's stuff for more info. The star ratings are from 247's system as they are most easily found. I don't have memberships to the recruiting sites, but I know how to troll around for info so away we go:

Now that I look at it

I think it is more the fact that IE is retarded, I’ll try Firefox on an edit.

If you still can't get it, email me

and we’ll get you what you need to make it the way you want it. Thanks for doing this.

Got it

It was IE’s silliness. Should have used FF to begin with.

Why am I suddenly reminded of this pic?

Nice job. Thanks for the update.

National Letter of Intent signing date: 02/01/2012…four more days.

So, based on this class

and assuming the next few classes are similar, could we reclaim the title “wide receiver U”?

Unfortunately I don’t see any OL, and not quite enough rb’s on that list.

I think you'll see each class vary based on need which is nice.

Last year we were light on DT’s, now we’re balling there.

We took a ton of o-line the last two classes, fewer than we would like this one, but that will change next season. We already have a three-star o-lineman committed for 2013.

I think you’ll see a couple WR’s, a couple DB’s, a couple LB’s, and a couple RB’s in every class along with at least one QB and one TE.

My thought is

OL, RB, and WR (along with the entire defense of course) are the kind of positions that you can never have enough players in.

Good wrapup

’preciate it.

Thanks for posting this, VB.

I like having all of this in one place for easy reference.

Cardinal rule broken...

The term “solid commit” and the phrase “not going anywhere” used a few days before NSD.

Why do you only show up when we get bad news of some kind?

I really, really could give two craps what FSU fans think of our program or Derek Dooley.

There hasnt been much else but bad news and I have said multiple good things about this university.

I love the new OL coach and mentioned he could even be a more impactful hire than Sunseri when factoring in his FL recruiting ties. I mentioned how good of a job I thought Hamilton did with the Pearl and Kiffin hires at the time. Ive also said that the TN bball team with the addition of Stokes is one pg away from being a real threat on the court. Ive mentioned that Jason Croom is an absolute beast and a huge pickup for the vols as he has a size strength combo second to none. I spoke of AJ Leggett, and how he could really surprise some fans if he qualifies as he is an elite talent. I just dont spew optimism for optimism’s sake. Lastly my opinion of your program and your coach rarely differs from the vast majority of realistic vol fans on this site.

I'm not interested in your justifications

It’s meaningless, shallow garbage tbh. Especially after reading your stated opinion that “it would be best for Tennessee if the team imploded this year” in thread after thread. GTFO

I mean damn, do they teach passive-aggression and patronization as a major at FSU?

realistic vol fans

those are a thing?

I actually think all the editors here at RTT

are realistic which is why this is the only place I get my TN news.

well thanks

we’re glad to have you
